About Jimmy & Darlene

Jimmy’s unique vocal style and other musical talents placed him in high demand throughout the 60’s and 70’s, as he has traveled the globe worldwide performing with various Groups and Artist. He performed with such renowned artists as Sam Cooke, Mary Wells, The Drifters, Ben E King, Wilson Pickett and many, many more. His brother, the late Wilbert Harrison, with his mega classic hit, ‘Kansas City’ released in 1959 held the Billboard chart at #1 for 12 consecutive weeks. Jimmy played a major role as the drummer on this great classic song.

Darlene has been surrounded by gospel music her entire life. She first entered a recording studio at the age of 14, at the Arthur Smith Studios, well-known today as (The Legendary StudioEast). She was invited to sing lead vocals on a gospel project. Her brother, James ‘Tootie’ Hogan has over 40 years in the entertainment industry. He has played lead guitar for such groups as The Tams, Roberta Flack, the Chairmen of the Board, and many other legendary Acts. Darlene has now joined with her husband Jimmy in recording an array of soulful beach hits such as, ‘Nothing Can Help You Now’ and their most recent hit, ‘Baby, I Love You So’, which reached #1 on several beach music charts and is rising on many others. The songs, pinned by Jimmy have also received extensive play in the UK.
